Oweeee!
We had a freak snowstorm and I got hit by a WRTA bus! The roads were super slick, and when I stopped to let a car pull back out of his driveway, the bus slid into my rear end. Fortunately no one was hurt, except the back hatch of my Honda Fit. Coulda been worse!!

Morning in The Woo
Here’s a view of Worcester you don’t see very often. This morning I had to pick up a donated printer from an office in the Santander Bank Building, the tallest high rise in Worcester. This photo is from the floor-to-ceiling window on the 20th floor. The tower in the lower center is Worcester City Hall on Main Street, and the oval behind it is the new public ice skating rink. The street to the left is Front Street, which leads to the Telegram and Gazette office building on the left and then to Union Station. This scene will look different by the end of the decade, when CitySquare is (supposedly) developed.

Hyannis Marathon 2014
Today I drove my family to the Cape for the Hyannis Marathon. I was volunteering for route marking with the Hyannis Chapter of the American Red Cross, and serendipitously my cousin Crystal was running in the race. This was her first marathon (she’s been talking about running on for years), and here’s the oversized piece of bling she earned for her medal rack. Great job! This photo is from our dinner at Wicked Pizza in Mashpee.

Cold but Pretty
I took off this afternoon to snowshoe the Wachusett Greenway in West Boylston. Two-and-a-half hours of just me, nature, and classical music on my mp3 player. Ahhhhhh….

A West Coast Party Stop
This week Brendan, a friend from high school, came back to Worcester to visit the old neighborhood. I hadn’t seen him since he moved to L.A. a few years ago. We went to the Boynton one night and another friend, Kat, and I took him to Peppercorns before he flew out. Unfortunately he picked the coldest time of the year to visit haha. See you next time, Bren!

Caboose!!
It’s been a while since I posted a new Caboose photo. Since I posted the first photo last autumn, he’s doing much better at the Worcester Animal Rescue League. His hair has regrown back and he’s gotten his personality (and attitude) back. Now he’s just waiting for a home to call his own.
