Worcester Sharks
Paul, Jeff and Dave, and the tiny men who live in Jeff and Dave’s heads, at the Worcester Sharks game. This was a good game and the Sharks easily defeated the Adirondack Phantoms, 4 to 1. Unfortunately this could be our last hockey game at the DCU Center… there’s a rumor the Sharks may re-locate next season to the West Coast to be closer to their professional team, the San Jose Sharks. Well, at least Worcester has baseball again!

Puppies!
Walking across the Clark University campus on my way to the gym this afternoon, I saw a line of students waiting to enter Atwood Hall. Coming out of the gym an hour later, there was *still* a line. I went closer to see what all these people lined up for… Fall course selection? Registrar? Free pizza? Nope, puppies! Clark University had imported a room full of puppies for students to play with. I guess it was a program to help students de-stress before finals. Fun!

To Infinity….
My brand new car… just kidding. This is just a rental while my Fit is in the shop (remember the fender bender with the city bus back in February?) The Infiniti is nice, I guess, with the sun roof, leather interior and heated seats, but I’m not an SUV guy. I miss my little Fit.

Marathon Monday
The view from the other side of the BaA Finish Line. My sweep team and I are two blocks east and three blocks south, on the corner of Berkeley and Columbus.

Hard Times & Woes
Raianne Richards, Mark Mandeville, and friends playing a small concert for Nick Noble’s Folk Revival at the WICN studios on Portland Street in Worcester. Raianne and Mark were playing their new album, Hard Times & Woes, which comes out on Saturday April 19th. They are gearing up for a tour down to Virginia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas in a few weeks, and later this summer they’ll be hiking their annual Walking Tour, with concerts every night, this year around the Boston area. On Friday, April 18th they’ll be guests on WUMB.org around 2pm. If you’re near a computer, you should check them out. You can see more information at www.markmandeville.com

Vaillancourt Folk Art
One of the items at the Miles-Lincon Auction on Saturday was this hand-painted chalkware Santa Claus, donated by my friend Luke Vaillancourt’s family business, Vaillancourt Folk Art in Sutton, Mass. Their web site is http://www.VALFA.com – check them out for some one-of-a-kind, high quality Christmas gifts.
Luke, this piece was great. Thank you for helping us help the kids.

The Miles-Lincoln Auction 2014
Tonight was the semi-annual Miles-Lincoln Auction, my organization’s biggest single fundraiser. The last couple of weeks this event has taken top priority at work, and I’ve been busy building an intranet of one server, five laptops and two printers to keep track of guest registrations and auction buys. Jen and I helped out at the auction, me just in case there were any computer issues (there were, but just minor ones), and Jen as the volunteer coordinator. Here’s a photo of Jen, well, coordinating the volunteers.

Right Said Fred
Fred’s wearing the head thing because he recently had his tail amputated. It was a little too waggy, so waggy it would slash against walls, door jambs, corners, and break the skin and there would be blood everywhere. (Including my pants one day!).
