Laptops for Sale
Anyone need an old laptop? My office is going to be moving these out soon. One doesn’t turn on, two are questionable, but the other three work fine (just a little slow).

What the …..
Today I was in Boston for a meting and afterwards went to the Museum of Fina Arts. I hadn’t been to the MFA in probably about five or six years, well before they built the new wing. Anyways I was interested in seeing the Mycenaean Greek collection, since I was reading the Aeneid (written around 30 BC, but set around 1100 BC). They didn’t have a lot from that time period, but they had lots of classical Greek art (around 600 BC), including this urn. By Jove, what in Hades is going on here?

The Book Chief
My name is BJ, and I have a problem… I hoard books. Since college, I can’t go into a used bookstore, library book sale or thrift shop without buying something I think I’ll read or need later (and almost never do). My basement has precariously-leaning stacks of boxed books I’d have to live to Yoda’s age to actually read. So I weeded out these ten crates and this month my resolution is to sell online (to Amazon and Powell’s), give away (to friends), sell local (to Annie’s or Book Bear) or donate (to the library or Goodwill/Salvation Army). I thought I’d be more sentimentally attached to the books I’d read and liked, but right now I’m more enticed by the idea of clearing out the space in my house.

MST Day 6b
Paul, Jena, and me from our New Year Day’s hike along the Mid State Trail. (Thanks to Paul’s son, PJ, for taking the pic). It was a cold day, and this was just a short, six-mile outing. We are now within ten miles of the New Hampshire border. That will probably happen in March, when the weather gets slightly warmer and the days slightly longer.
