Newport, RI
Jen and I went to Newport, RI today for a bridal show. No, it’s not what you think…. she went with her brother’s fiancee, I was just along for the ride.

Worcester Public Library FAIL
I went to the Worcester Public Library to find some books on Haiti… but the only books they had from the last century. Some were from 1969, and the newest were from 1989.

Harvest Time
This summer I tried growing a tiny little herb garden. Here is my harvest. Missing are tomatoes, which came off the vine and onto a mid-September BLT, and basil, which seems to be pretty sensitive to the cold – the leaves shriveled up and fell off a few weeks ago.

All disc golf isn’t like this
Yesterday John, Luke and I went to a sports bar in Worcester called The Perfect Game to watch Monday Night Football. Perfect Game has this random disc golf poster hanging in the men’s bathroom. Creepily, the girls look like they are about 15.

Philadelphia Three Day Walk for Breast Cancer
Fixing up some feet at the Three Day, bandaging blisters so the walkers can finish all 60 miles. This was my first event in Philadelphia and I made some good friends amongst the medical team. All total, walkers and crew raised $5.7 million dollars for cancer research. It feels good to be a part of that.
Now Im staying over my cousin’s house near university city and making up for a long weekend of sleep deprivation 😛

A very uncommon blister
If you look closely at The second toe on this woman’s foot, you’ll see a subungul blister. To fix it, I stuck a sterile needle under the toenail, drained the fluid, and the nail deflated like an air mattress. Subungul blisters on the 3 Day are uncommon but this case was even stranger – the blister extended all the way around to the top of the nail.

Hey That’s Me!
It’s not every day you see yourself in a random slideshow regularly presented to a national audience. The picture was taken at the closing ceremonies of the 2009 Susan G Komen 3 Day Walk for Breast Cancer in Boston… and I saw it at the Crew Day of the 2010 Susan G Komen Walk for Breast Cancer in Philadelphia.

Fore!
Today Diana, Jamie, Jen and I played disc golf at Buffimville Dam in Oxford. Though I’ve played this course a bunch of times, to my embarassment I found that almost half the holes had been moved since last time I was here in ’09. We spent a little time throwing at baskets that we found were no longer there.
