The End of an Era
Me with the kinder-, first and second graders at Dawson Elementary in Holden. I’ve been teaching safety to children with the UMass Memorial’s Mobile Safety Street since the Fall of 2010. MS Challenge Walk
Finished crewing for the MS Challenge Walk this afternoon. It was fun… at the end they gave us medals. (Crew also got an impressive FIVE t-shirts for this event.) I saw some old friends, made some new ones, and learned about MS (a disease I didn’t know anything about before this)… I Hope to be able to volunteer again next September.

Susan G Komen Refugees
In the absence of Susan G Komen 3-Day Walk for the Cure in Boston this summer, SGK longtime veterans Meredith, me, and Cathy, along with Lisa, Allison, Judy, Paula and Winnie, contributed our blister-fighting skills to the 3-Day Multiple Sclerosis 3-Day Challenge Walk on the Cape. It was fun… two words: open bar (no kidding).

Hmmmm….
