Mt. Wachusett

Another photo from the Mid State Trail. This is the highest point of the trail, Mount Wachusett (elev. 2,005 ft). This was also the hardest stretch of trail because it was constant climbs and descents. Plus, this portion had been re-routed in the last few years, so the guidebook wasn’t very useful… what we thought was going to be a sixteen miler turned out to be more like 21. At least the weather was mild for mid-November. From here on the summit, Jena, Paul C. and Paul B. descended to the Wachusett Mountain ski lodge and ate our lunches.
